Muhammad Qavi Khan, a successful and widely renowned drama and film actor from Pakistan has passed away in Canada. The fans were left in remorse as this news broke through social and digital media. Muhammad Qavi Khan passes away at the age of 80 years. He passed away on Sunday, as he was suffering from a prolonged illness and his treatment was underway in Canada.
Muhammad Qavi Khan was a veteran Pakistani actor who worked in the Pakistani entertainment industry for over five decades. He was born on November 15, 1942, in Peshawar, Pakistan. Khan started his acting career in the 1960s and has appeared in numerous Pakistani films and television dramas. He is known for his versatile acting skills and has played a wide range of roles in his career.
Some of his notable performances include his roles in the TV dramas “Dhoop Kinare” and “Ankahi”. He has also acted in films such as “Muhabbat ke saudagar”, “Haathi Mere Saathi”, and “Qurbani Jatt Di”. Khan has been recognized for his contributions to the Pakistani entertainment industry and has been honored with numerous awards, including the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 1980.
Muhhamad Qavi Khan’s Debut
Muhammad Qavi Khan originally belonged to Peshawar and served in the drama and film industry of Pakistan for a long period. He debuted in the media industry and performed the role of Ghalib at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA). This was his entry point in the industry, and later on, he worked with numerous actors in different drama series and films.
He appeared on screen in the first drama of Pakistan Television (PTV) named Koi Na Adda Snaj Mila; this drama serial was a huge success and helped Qavi attain a noticeable position in the media industry. Later on, he showed immense expertise in the media, theatre, and radio industries of Pakistan. Muhammad Qavi was one of the few actors that witnessed the downfall of the Pakistani film industry in 1964.

Qavi had a family of 5, including 4 children and a wife. He got married in 1968. None of the children of Muhammad Qavi Khan were interested in following the profession of their father, and instead, they settled abroad. He was a travel enthusiast, that’s why he traveled to multiple countries but decided to stay in Pakistan for most of his life.

He was a fair and innocent personality, so he was cheated by different people connected with the industry such as exhibitors and distributors.

He failed to continue his career due to deteriorating health.
